The Central Government launched the National Rural Livelihoods Mission in 2011 to eradicate poverty in the rural areas of the state. In order to implement this scheme in Maharashtra, an independent organization Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission has been established (Charity Registration Act, 1860) by the Rural Development Department, GoM. Under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister.The mission is being implemented in 34 Districts and 351 Blocks of the state. The Mission is committed to lift 71 lakh poor families out of poverty in the state of Maharashtra through sustainable livelihood. UMED-MSRLM has initiated this process to launch the Classified E Platform with an objective to provide a marketing platform to rural women entrepreneurs so that they can sell their products to urban consumers in the easiest way using the tech-based intervention. This platform is meant solely to provide a Self-owned marketplace for SHG-made products.Mission:"To reduce poverty by enabling the poor households to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots institutions of the poor."
